A Focus on Training and Marketing

At this year’s DrivingSales Executive Summit (held in October at the Bellagio Las Vegas) two major topics emerged. The first surfaced on day one when keynote Leif Babbin, a retired Navy SEAL Officer, talked about the critical importance of training. He emphasized how he was trained for a full year before deployment and how his team would do training exercises on its off days to stay sharp. Bruce Kimbrell, a regional representative for Disney, also spoke on the importance of training and how it is essential to the maintaining of the Disney brand – one of the most well know and beloved brands in the world.

The second major topic was introduced by DrivingSales’ own Jared Hamilton who discussed the lack of marketing focus on Fixed Ops and its impact on the whole dealership. That lack of focus is due to many dealerships employing someone from sales to handle the marketing. He stated that it is time for a new position in the dealership: a Marketing Manager that would report directly to the GM.

Considering the current need for marketing management along with a general call for better training throughout automotive retail, DrivingSales University is excited to announce an industry-first: Marketing Certification for Dealers! As of October 15th, motivated dealership employees can visit DrivingSalesUniversity.com and enroll in Digital Marketing certification training. There are two certification tracks available: Certified Digital Marketing Manager and Advanced Certified Digital Marketing Manager. Courses cover SEO, Social Media Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Web Analytics, Conversion Optimization, and Paid Search Marketing which include up to 50 hours of course content.

When completed, the student will earn DrivingSales University Digital Marketing accreditation. Additionally, Advanced Digital Marketing training also qualifies for Online Marketing Certified Professional (OMCP) certification. OMCP authorized training and education programs are reviewed to ensure they provide enhanced value to students. Only the most demanding training programs qualify for OMCP Certification, and all are required to provide rigorous testing on current, relevant content.

DrivingSales believes that knowledge is a competitive edge. Be one of the first to take advantage of this new training. To learn more about Marketing Certification training, visit our website: http://drivingsalesuniversity.com/certifications/
